13th Annual South Dakota State Chapter

National Wild Turkey Federation

State Convention & Banquet

January 5-6, 2018, Days Inn Convention Center,  Brookings, SD

Plan to attend the South Dakota State Convention and Banquet for a weekend of fun, friendship, learning, and sharing. We will start the Convention on Friday afternoon with the Super Fund Committee meeting at 12:30 PM, the State Board Meeting at 2:00 PM, and then in the evening we will have the Roosting Tree Reception with cash bar and hors d’oeuvres. We run some Early Bird Special raffles with great deals and low, low ticket prices! Be early and get the best deals of the weekend!

At 8:00 AM on Saturday morning we start the day with a session with the NWTF Regional Staff to give updates, new information, future plans, results from last year, and questions and answers. Staff will include Kurt Dyroff, Director of Conservation Programs for the Western Region, Randy Gaskins, Regional Director, Collin Smith, District Biologist, and Jason Schlafmann, the new NWTF Black Hills Forester.

Fun and educational seminars will follow throughout the day. We will have more training on the Event Management System for banquets, and if you chapter has used this or are planning on using the system, you need to attend this session!

At 11:15 we start the Chapter Awards Luncheon where we recognize and award the chapters and volunteers that rise above and beyond! If your chapter is receiving an award you want to make sure to be there!

At 5:30 PM the doors open on the Boss Gobbler Blowout Banquet! This is your opportunity to see the new 2018 Banquet Package. We also try out any new raffles and games that we might want to use at the local banquets. We also have some special guns and merchandise that you won’t see at your local banquet!

Please join us to celebrate the “Save the Hunt. Save the Habitat.” work we have done, meet new and old friends, and have a great time! You can register for the banquet online at https://events.nwtf.org/410050-2918/tickets. It is easy and quick! You will be able to use the same online service for your own local banquets. Search NWTF Events, select SD, and then scroll to your local event!
